Guide to Charges
We aim to give you value without compromising on quality or service delivered. Funeral costs can vary considerably depending on which funeral service provider you choose. Generally, smaller independent funeral companies, like ourselves are less costly than the larger national companies and can provide a much more personal and comforting service to the families we serve.
Disbursements
Disbursements are also know as third-party fees. These are fees paid out by the Funeral Director on your behalf, usually prior to the funeral taking place. We do need to ask for these disbursements to be paid in advance of the funeral. However, depending on your circumstances you may be entitled to The Scottish Funeral Support Payment, if you're on certain benefits and need help to pay for the funeral. Please call Social Security Scotland on 0800 182 2222 or visit https://applications.socialsecurity.gov.scot/funeral-support-payment#eligibility for further information.
CMA Compliance
Following a two and a half year investigation into the funeral sector, the CMA has published a set of requirements, in the form of a legally binding Order under the Enterprise Act 2002, that ALL UK funeral businesses must abide by. This is to ensure a price transparency within the sector, enabling grieving families to compare costs between providers, and make an informed decision on the right services for their loved ones.
